I Campagnoli - Ile-Rousse
Presentation
I Campagnoli is a group of Corsican polyphonies. Its repertoire consists of secular and sacred songs. They occur mainly in churches, where the power of song takes on its full dimension.
The group is made up of the 3 singers and a violinist. The group was born in 1989 from the passion of a few young people from Nebbiu and Bastia for polyphonic singing. Over the decades, the group has reinvented itself, refocusing on a few singers and introducing instruments to accompany the purity of the voices.
I Campagnoli means men of the earth. This land, a heritage from their ancestors to be preserved and passed on to our children. I Campagnoli carries centuries-old traditional chants, but is also working on some adaptations of more recent songs such as Le Lion est mort ce soir, or Edith Piaf's L'hymne à l'Amour.
